Autobody Technician

At Heiman Fire Equipment we take pride in creating custom-built fire trucks and providing the best equipment in the fire industry for every department we serve and delivering the best possible experience to our customers. Heiman Fire is looking to hire an Autobody Tecl1nician responsible for helping in the paint process from beginning to end.

Responsibilities

Disassemble parts to prepare for the refinishing process
Sand, grind, mud and prep surfaces for painting
Read specs and job descriptions for each project
Complete any repairs and touch-ups on various trucks
Perform buffing techniques to achieve the desired finish
Help with the priming and painting process
Clean and detail equipment prior to customer inspection
Clean and maintain tools and paint equipment
Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

Previous experience with autobody repair or automotive body shop preferred
Basic mechanical aptitude
Strong Mathematical skills
Attention to details
Ability to climb ladders and lift up to 100 lbs
